Description

Please like and subscribe! πŸ™‚πŸ’—πŸ‘πŸ™ Our talk this week is about two men who lived in the first century with their stories found in the New Testament book of Acts. They both have a desire to serve the living God, but one is serving filled with the Holy Spirit and one is not. One is sharing truth and the other is holding onto the religious traditions of man. One is giving his life and other is taking lives.

Worldwide Community Prayer is held each Saturday at 8PM EST Please feel free to ask for prayer each week by email at - info@frjr.org

Today's Scripture:

Acts 751-60 β€œYou stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it.” And hearing these things, they were cut to the hearts, and did gnash the teeth at him; and being full of the Holy Spirit, having looked stedfastly to the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and he said, 'Lo, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.' And they, having cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and did rush with one accord upon him, and having cast him forth outside of the city, they were stoning him β€”and the witnesses did put down their garments at the feet of a young man called Saulβ€” and they were stoning Stephen, calling and saying, 'Lord Jesus, receive my spirit;' and having bowed the knees, he cried with a loud voice, 'Lord, mayest thou not lay to them this sin;' and this having said, he fell asleep.

Acts 8:1-4 And Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him. But Saul was ravaging the church, and entering house after house, he dragged off men and women and committed them to prison. Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.
