Slightly thicker than the Half-Windsor, the Windsor is best worn with a thinner tie and/or a spread collar.

Some general tips: Make sure that the wide end of the tie is at least as long as the narrow end, and that the tip of the wide end hangs between the top and bottom of your belt buckle. This may require multiple attempts.
