Many residents of Guam were left without power and utilities after Typhoon Mawar tore through the remote US Pacific territory overnight, ripping roofs off homes, flipping vehicles and shredding trees.
There were no immediate reports of deaths or injuries, but the central and northern parts of the island received more than 2 feet (60 centimeters) of rain as the eyewall passed.
